Same Face New Day...

As a first post, I thought why not a 'everyday makeup'. While you're still getting to know me what better way to know what I like than to know what I put on my face almost everyday. I am, to my skin's dismay, a everyday makeup wearer. On my lazier days, which is more frequent than I wish to accept, I'll miss out a few steps: for example I won't do a winged liner or I'll skip the paintpot base and go straight to eyeshadow. The feature I focus most on is my brows because eyebrows on fleek all day err day, which I may go into more detail in another post.  So without further or do, here's my step by step everyday makeup look.

  1. First step I prime my skin with my travel size Estee Lauder Day Wear Plus and Pore Minimising Skin Refinisher. Then I'll apply my Nars Sheer Glow foundation with my beauty blender.
  2. Next up is my brows. For my brows I starts by using the powder from my Benefit Brow Wizz Palette with angled brush and start filling in my brows, focussing on the outer and middle section of the eye brow. Then I'll go over with the gel over where I've applied the powder. After this I'll take a clear mascara, you can use a brow gel but I prefer to use a clear mascara as it doesn't add anymore colour and has a strong hold, and I'll brush through my brows brushing them upwards especially at the start of my brows to make them look fuller. To finish off I'll take a little bit of MAC Paintpot in Soft Ochre on a flat brush and outline and reshape my brows to make them look more crisp.
  3. For my eyes I'll prep them with Estee Lauder's Paintpot in Antique Gold then with a fluffy brush go over the eyelid, under the eye and crease with Benefit Hoola Bronzer. I love using this bronzer as an eyeshadow because it warms up the lid and blends really well without being too brown. To add more definition to my eyes I'll put a little bit of MAC Espresso eyeshadow through the crease. Then I'll do a simple winged liner and curl my lashes before applying Loreal's False Lash Architect Mascara on my upper lashes(which is my swear by product for those with asian or stubborn lashes, this lash holds colours so well!)  and Benefit They're Real Mascara on my lower lashes.
  4. I'll go back and finish my base off by using Collection Illuminating Touch Brightening Concealer under my eyes, forehead and down the bridge of my nose. Using a Real technique's Buffing Brush I'll contour with Nars Matte Multiple stick in Ventianne and highlight the cheekbones and under the brows with my Benefit Watts Up Highlighter. To round the base up I'll powder with my MAC Mineralize Skin Finish Powder.
  5. FINALLY I line my lips with MAC Boldly Bare Lip Liner and dab a little of MAC Honey Love Lipstick on the centre of my lips to make them look fuller.

So there we go, this is what I put on my face everyday! I have now let a picture of my make-up free self, the Jekyll to my Hyde,  loose on the internet. Until I regret this choice, I hope you've found something a little interesting and look forward for more looks to come.

Stay classy,

Welcome!

For reasons unknown you have somehow (probably accidently) found yourself on my "blog". As it is only polite I will introduce myself to you. I'm Hannah, a university student in Glasgow. To know more about me, my aspirations in life are to work in communications and too see a lot of the world on my way there. For a while I have been urging to start my own blog and write about the stuff that interests me. I expect my infinite number of interests may become obvious as I'll probably post about all sorts but the true ignitions to my inner J.K Rowling are makeup, fashion and life in general.

Why start a blog may you ask, well, a girl can do as she pleases as long as she completes it with class. Which brings us to my title and motto in life "class over sass", I feel like we're beginning to lose what truly makes a woman sexy and that is of course CLASS. Don't get me wrong sassiness is everything but, honey, less isn't always more especially when it comes to clothing. I am in no way saying I'm the lady of class, which is why it is my motto in life and not my legend, but why not write a few blog posts while I'm trying. Will people read my blog? Probably not. Will you find anything remotely helpful? Most likely no. But will I do it anyway? Em yes.

SO welcome to my page, enjoy if you can and stay classy

Hannah
